New Religious School Director: Svetlana Sorkin

Svetlana Sorkin, our new Religious School Director, came to Kansas City from Russia seventeen years ago with her husband Roman and their three children. Svetlana earned an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Penza, Russia and an M.A. in History and Jewish Studies form the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She has been serving the Jewish community of Greater Kansas City as a Jewish educator since her arrival. Svetlana enjoys reading, arts, and nature walks. Her latest educational endeavor was to develop courses on Jewish spirituality and wellness. She lives in Olathe, Kansas with her husband Roman.
